Merger proposal
editThe two articles Panchangam and Pancanga ocver the same subject, differing only in the spelling of the article title. Merging the two would make it easier to do a good article on the subject. The English user may most likely to search for the term "Panchanga" so the combined article could be retitled to that. Buddhipriya 20:21, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- There has been no comment on this proposal, which is likely to be non-controversial because the two page titles are just variants spellings of the same word. I have integrated the content from the Pancanga page into Panchangam and have cleaned up Panchangam to some extent. The old Pancanga now redirects to Panchangam and there are no double redirects.
Jyotish and Panchangam
editI am glad that Dab has shifted some portion of the text on Panchngam to Jyotish (relevant portion only) and most of my detailed text on Panchangam posted on Jyotish to the Panchamgam page. Thanks--Nvvchar (talk) 04:54, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Alternative Spellings
editIsn't the spelling "Panchang" also used? Should it be mentioned in the article, and a redirect from it created, pointing to here? 217.115.65.17 (talk) 18:55, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
