Edits
editThe article looks good so far! Although it was very difficult to find additional content and therefore I could not add much to the Papilio appalachiensis, I found that the article was initially a bit difficult to read and managed to edit it by breaking down the paragraphs. I also added a couple of paragraphs underneath the taxonomy section detailing hybrid speciation. NK2015 (talk) 17:23, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
This article had a lot of useful information added. I moved a sentence about flight behavior that was under the habitat heading to the flight behavior heading, which seemed more relevant.--Vpandrangi (talk) 15:31, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
I added taxonomy, nesting practices, appearance, habitat, host plants, flight patterns, and caterpillar sections to this page. Ashleynlin (talk) 00:43, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
I have attempted to fix some citations and added a few more Wikilinks to the article. I also made some writing edits. Ashleynlin (talk) 04:04, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
I added a brief "Taxonomy" section. Ashleynlin (talk) 20:25, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
Nice job on the addition. I wrote a lead and I made some changes in the main body of the article, mainly trying to improve sentence flow. I also changed the picture arrangement next to the appearance section. I arranged them vertically rather than horizontally so that they would fit better with the writing. I think one of the strengths of this page is the "Evolution" section because it explains thoroughly how the species is thought to be a hybrid species and how changes in climate has allowed for crossbreeding. I do think this article could benefit from a section describing how the caterpillar's form of mimicry (black markings resembling eyes) helps it avoid being eaten and what type of predators it is deterring. Also, more information about the male's appearance (measurements, markings, etc.) could potentially help readers identify the species easier. Catejiang (talk) 04:28, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

I will review this article. To start things off, the lead needs to be expanded so that it is a better summary of the article's contents (see WP:Lead). Also, please add a taxonomy section, describing who first described the species, where it was originally collected from, and if it has any synonyms. Ensure that every paragraph has a citation, and that every sentence at the end of each paragraph is cited. I'll continue the review after these initial concerns are addressed. I rearranged the information on host plants, placing it in a new category that is more fitting. I also moved the location of the appearance section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Npatel92 (talk • contribs) 01:02, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
