Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... (your reason here) -- the factual information relating to the biographical profile of Paranjoy Guha Thakurta was given voluntarily by he himself to Common Cause, a civil society organization based in New Delhi, India. Paranjoy is a member of the governing council of Common Cause. Hence, the question of any violation of copyright does not arise. In any case, the information is non-proprietory and in the public domain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.212.124.115 (talkcontribs) 03:53, 31 May 2014

I have removed the "speedy" deletion template and replaced it with a template which allows for a 7-day discussion period. This should provide ample time for the copyright owner (likely the original creator or publisher) to read and follow the instructions in Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 04:32, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Major edit of 5 June 2014

edit

@Ghazalimohammad: Thank you for your work on this article. I assume one of the goals of your edits today is to resolve the copyright issue. When you are done with today's major edit, please put a note on Wikipedia:Copyright problems#:Paranjoy Guha Thakurta outlining what you have done. If you have not completed the edit by the time you finish for the day, please restore this edit and replace the "inuse" template with an "under construction" template until you get back to resume editing. Do not permanently remove the "Nobots" and "copyviocore" templates, they should only be removed by a copyright clerk, OTRS clerk, or (uninvolved) administrator. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 15:17, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
