Vandalism
editThe section "Criticism" was vandalism and it has been removed. If you want to make adverse comments about security at Parramatta Stadium address those concerns to the Parramatta Stadium Trust or the Parramatta Eels club, not put them in Wikipedia. --User:CumberlandsAshes81 10:57, 22 August 2006
Motorsports at Cumberland Oval
editThere's a really interesting heritage of midget car racing at Cumberland Oval (before it was moved to Parramatta City Speedway). If someone feels like putting something in about this, go ahead. I have written this article mainly from the Parramatta Eels perspective - but there is a shared history for Cumberland Oval. - User:CumberlandsAshes81 27/01/2006
Nice work on the article, I was all set to do something, but I came down with a case of Wikifatigue. That picture is better than the blurry ones I had, taken by my sister who was there on opening day --Paul 17:37, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Baseball at Parramatta Stadium
editThanks to the user who added the section on Baseball - when I read that I remembered that they did play Baseball there during the 1990s. I've moved that section under a new heading 'Other Sports Played at Parramatta Stadium'. Parramatta Stadium was purpose-built for Rugby League and I'm unsure of whether any other sports were played there aside from Baseball - making the plural 'Sports' redundant!? -- User:CumberlandsAshes81 13 July 2006
Not a problem, if theres anyone here who actually saw any Australian Baseball League games, has photos or just a random bit of information just leave a note here, on my talk page or edit one of the articles, seeing i have such a long job ahead of me any bit of help big or small is much appreciated, cheers --Dan027 10:06, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Good luck with that project! Sorry I can't help - the only baseball games I've ever seen were at the last olympics. I suspect RU has been played at Parramatta Stadium at some stage but I don't remember when and who it was playing. The only other thing I could add at this stage would be references to the Bulldogs and Balmain using Parramatta Stadium as their home ground for a season (in 1995?) when they both took on the 'Sydney' name as opposed to their traditional suburb name. Any Bulldogs/Tigers fans have an insight into their time at Parramatta Stadium? I seem to remember extremely small attendances for Balmain when they played there. -- User:CumberlandsAshes81 17 July 2006
Fair use rationale for Image:Parramatta1.jpg
editImage:Parramatta1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 18:15, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
New Article?
editSo the stadium has been demolished and is being rebuilt from the ground up. The new "official" name is "Western Sydney Stadium". I think it might be a good idea to effectively "close" this article, and create a new article specifically for the new stadium. Macktheknifeau (talk) 11:19, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, the draft for the Western Sydney Stadium was approved. It currently exists at Western Sydney Stadium (2019), however I am seeking to have it moved to Western Sydney Stadium. As that is currently a redirect to a section of this article, I've had to do a technical move request. Once that is complete I can go through and work on adding the new stadium to various templates/pages. Thanks. Macktheknifeau (talk) 07:46, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
