how are men and women separated, united

edit

It would be useful to have some description of how the men and women are separated - different buildings on the property, different wings, or not at all - and united - eg Liturgy, work, meals, etc. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 22:41, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Why is "Monastery of St John the Baptist" autom. linked here? Plenty of such monasteries, several far more deserving!

edit

For instance the "original" Byzantine one from the traditional place of Jesus' baptism (Al-Maghtas), also known in Arabic as Qasr el Yahud. Eastern Orthodoxy knows several other such monasteries. Concentrating only on the English one is a bit, let's say, narrow-sighted. Please fix this. Thanks! Arminden (talk) 17:43, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
