This article is a stub about a member of the up-and-coming bluegrass group The Punch Brothers. Kowert is significant due to both his membership in Punch Brothers and his tutelage under famous bass player Edgar Meyer. Although Kowert's career boasts few achievements to date, he promises to be a recognized name in the bluegrass and classical world as he continues to progress as a musician, both on his own and with the Punch Brothers.
