Fan theories
editThere should be a mention of the fan theories about how Mr. Krabs got Pearl. BuzzFeed posted one (link) yesterday and it's trending on the front page already. The Pixar theory author and Metro UK did another one (link and link). These are fake theories, but they are popular on the internet. Shruggingly (talk) 22:10, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

Misuse of "Last appearance" parameter
editSince October, an IP has been incorrectly adding the "Last appearance" field to this article and has begun to do so on other SpongeBob character articles. This parameter is meant to display the final appearance of a character and is generally only used for characters in franchises that have ended (or that are very unlikely to appear again). The IP has been adding characters' latest appearances under this parameter, which is not only misleading (some will read it as the characters' final appearances), but will require constant updates to remain accurate. These characters will obviously appear in future episodes and it is not practical to update this every single time a new episode premieres. Please do not continue to misuse this parameter. Pearl’s name
editI was wondering if Pearl was named after Pearl from the classic novel The Scarlet Letter. Both Pearls are their single parent’s “only treasure” and only daughter. It would be very fitting for Stephen Hillenburg to have chosen Pearl’s name this way.
