Hollywood Squares revival with Peter Marshall

To the person who wrote about the new version of Hollywood Squares supposedly on the drawing boards: Where have you heard this information? I haven't seen any "official" sources mention this.

The result of the proposal was Moved to Peter Marshall (U.S. entertainer) per consensus. Hasn't been five days yet, but I can't see any other consensus forming. • Support idea of move, if only because this isn't the only Peter Marshall who's been a game-show host—Peter Marshall (UK broadcaster) also qualifies. • Support move because it does not disambiguate from the UK broadcaster, who was also a game show host. The reason Hammer requested the move was that Marshall is known for activities other than hosting Hollywood Squares. That's why I suggested "entertainer" to address his concerns, along with "U.S." to avoid confusion with the British guy. Deor (talk) 23:11, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

We aren't called to generalize or theorize. WP:AT says WP:AT CRITERIA 2. Naturalness – The title is one that readers are likely to look or search for and that editors would naturally use to link to the article from other articles. • Oppose – Inadequate disambiguation, as Peter Marshall (UK broadcaster) is in Category:British game show hosts. The UK's Peter Marshall hosted Sale of the Century. It appears to me that this article was moved from Peter Marshall (U.S. entertainer) without discussion, so it probably should be moved back there by default, until a new consensus is found. I could support Peter Marshall (American game show host), one of many members of Category:American game show hosts, as that is surely his primary career. Age (second topic)

His birth year was raised and verified 15 years ago, and I mentioned in a note when I made a correction in the infobox (correcting his birthplace), that according to an online search of county records, his birth date is listed as January 30, 1926 (I erroneously typed 1929 in my note). I'll verify this, but I can't imagine that the county records would be incorrect. If so, his birth month is incorrect in just about everything I've read. If I do find that his actual birth certificate listed this date, should I correct it? I believe accuracy truly matters, but that's a big change. Appl atcha (talk) 13:37, 16 August 2024 (UTC)

If multiple, otherwise reliable, sources provide differing birthdates, then editors should list both dates here rather than just picking one. We need to include what the sources say, rather than doing original research on the matter. —ADavidB 18:31, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
