Merging this article into something else is a bad idea. VLSI Physical Design is a fairly large research field, with specialized conferences, etc. --Igor Markov 05:32, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
In VLSI PHYSICAL DESIGN there is a important step by name POWER PLANNING. With my level of knowledge it is preferable to have some information about that step too. --Anantha Krishna Irvathraya 12:30 11 April 2012 (IST) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ananthabendrala (talk • contribs) 07:10, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
Content needs to be restructured
editHello! the design flow primarily depicted in the article relates to only ASIC Design (Back-end) flow, not to the full-custom physical design required for the analog circuits. My suggestion would be to consider reconstruction of the article & categorizing it so that it can have both Digital & Analog Physical Layout procedure basics.--Deepon (talk) 18:06, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
Tone and style
editRemembering that Wikipedia is not a how-to manual, I'm concerned that the article's tone is too technical. It should be written to inform the general reader, who I'm sure will find much of its present content baffling. May I suggest a rewrite with this aim in mind? I'm not the person to do it, as I'm not informed enough about the engineering and practical constraints. I'd be happy to cooperate with anybody who would like to try making the article clearer for non-engineers. yoyo (talk) 07:08, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
