well i'm from virginia but have read some florida law too.

Look. Smoking isn't illegal. Marajuana is (arguable - depends how passive you want your inmates?)

You've publicly accused these men of a CRIMINAL FELONY in public acc. to the news. That' s hardly fair since I'm guessing there's been no trial yet.

There was no blood or injury (crimea). The only complainer was the government itself. The government cites "contraband" yet there is no law in the books. That is POLICY not LAW therefore it couldn't be a crime or felony.

Felony? The ammount questioned was $1,500 which only tentitively grand theft IF THEFT is proven: and theft was not even accused. So that is impossible. Also using the courts over small matters wastes public money. If the ammount is dispersed over the prisoners per person receiving, the ammount is too small to waste public funds to prosecute over (though the matter might be persued for settlement outside of court).

So. I accuse you publicly. Your falsely accusing not by a small ammount but by a great ammount upon people who have the WORST defense: government workers paid to keep them "in the cycle". What a hell.

I challenge you to apologize. And smoking used to be legal in prisons. I challenge you to give them a break once in a while.

Finally, when i'm stalked by police making LESS than minimum wage while abused and disabled and get my license falsely taken by government (in VA).

I can easily argue the ammount of County and officer pay, per person, might easly be argued by any non-government denizen as grand theft. And it's been accused publicly so, many times. The ammount of $1,500 is only a small fraction of what you all might be over paid or have falsely billed as overtime. And that's not counting if you have more than one source of income from the government (the constitution calls illegal specifically). Many of you have and do I know (speaking generally).

Um.. While I think its important you hone your essay writing skills, this is not the place. I suggest your local community college newspaper. And for good measure, Florida Statutes § 951.22 says in part:

"(1) It is unlawful, except through regular channels as duly authorized by the sheriff or officer in charge, to introduce into or possess upon the grounds of any county detention facility as defined in s. 951.23 or to give to or receive from any inmate of any such facility wherever said inmate is located at the time or to take or to attempt to take or send therefrom any of the following articles which are hereby declared to be contraband for the purposes of this act, to wit: ... any tobacco products as defined in s. 210.25(11); any cigarette as defined in s. 210.01(1); ... any narcotic, hypnotic, or excitative drug or drug of any kind or nature ... (2) Whoever violates subsection (1) shall be guilty of a felony of the third degree ..."

As such, I argue, the correct person to demand an apology from would be the creators of that law, and the Florida Statutes give its provenance as "... ch. 63-140 ... 71-136 ... 71-355 ... 74-112 ... 78-41 ... 87-226 ... 91-225 ... 94-149" (which are chapters in the Laws of Florida, the "session laws" of Florida) so that would be a good place to start. Those would be writings of the Florida Legislature, FYI, and the Governor of Florida is the proper entity to call upon for relief in the instant case assuming they are convicted. I would suggest sending your essay to them as well (including the lawmakers who originally made the law). They are literally the only forum which may never be restricted, even to prisoners, per the First Amendment as incorporated against the states by the Fourteenth Amendment (see right to petition in the United States).

Or you can take absolutely useless actions, such as berating the sheriff, for enforcing the laws, on a restricted forum. Good luck with that. Int21h (talk) 09:31, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
