How can preliminary manufacture start, and then the first pistol be manufactured 7 or so years later - This seems like contradiction. It really needs fixing! Thanks, George (My Talk Page) 19:00, 27 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

The first sentence pertaining to dates is "preliminary works were taken up for the manufacture". Note the first words are preliminary works.
