I'm conflicted, but it would be great if the first two sentences reflected the team composition! The reference given (http://news.yale.edu/2010/12/16/citizen-scientists-join-search-earth-planets) lists a large team; Debra is the scientific lead so I'd suggest 'A team led by Debra Fisher at Yale' or some such phrasing.
