Notability
editMoving this to main space from AfC. Some editors may feel it is WP:TOOSOON (I would too except there is a lot of press about it) so that can be dealt with at AfD if so. CNMall41 (talk) 01:29, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- I'd say it's WP:TOOSOON and probably should be merged to PlayStation 5 until we know more. But if, by chance, it is kept, I think it needs a new article title. It's not really really a "game console", it's more of a PS5 accessory. Sergecross73 msg me 11:16, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- I agree on the renaming of the article if kept. The closest relative to this device is the Wii U gamepad, which I wouldn't consider a console. I changed the article text to call it a gaming accessory until more is known. Phillycj 14:28, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- Additional note: I'd also argue that the concept of this product wouldn't warrant it's own article. What could possibly be said about it other than a slightly longer version of "it's a controller with a screen for linking to a PS5 with X, Y, Z features and specs, was released for some dollars, and was met with reviews"? It's not like it's going to receive distinct and unique games and features that warrant a dedicated article. It just seems list like a Remote Play-enabled controller. - Agreed on all accounts. Perhaps it could be worth a split if its performance is divisive once it releases or something, but as of right now and short term future, there's not going to be much else to say. Sergecross73 msg me 15:45, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

Add Image
editI’m going to add an image for the page. 0GDuckyD00m (talk) 00:21, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- There's no image yet. Why? Stein256 (talk) 21:41, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
- Likely because there's relatively few out there in the world so far, and using Sony's own promotional photos wouldn't agree with Wikipedia's image use policies. Sergecross73 msg me 21:51, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
Hacking, really?
editI am really not sure if a section about someone successfully hacking a console should be considered as valuable information about this accessory or any other piece of gaming hardware or software. As if this wasn't illegal to do and a common practice that everyone should do with their hardware. But the reality is that this is something that is not endorsed by the company who are making these products. And also I think hacking a device may or may not be against at least some laws. So I suggest that the "Hacking" part should be removed from this page. If someone really does want to hack their devices, they can almost certainly find the needed information elsewhere on the web. - It is verified information, and it does not instruct the reader on how to do it. It's fine to include a note that reliable sources reported on the simple fact that it happened. Sergecross73 msg me 12:57, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
