Talk:Plunder of Murshidabad (1742)

Battle box.

edit

I feel like the battle box should be included, the same edit @PadFoot2008 reverted. Some prime examples are perhaps Plunder of Nancowry, however the point he made of this one actually "involving fighting" isn't mentioned anywhere.

The Plunder part simply mentions " a British captain Blom would arrive in the habour of Nancowry. With his vessel HMS Amboyna Blom would dislodge the sentry and loot godowns and residences, before leaving again.", nowhere does it say that the 2 forces actually engaged in combat. Even in Capture of Tabriz (1635), it simply states "The Ottomans occupied Tabriz **without encountering resistance,** and Murad IV ordered the destruction of the city."

This is exactly what happened here. Akshunwar (talk) 05:32, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

I think you should see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. PadFoot2008 05:35, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Akshunwar, never mind, I am restoring the infobox, as it did involve military action (but not combat). PadFoot2008 05:38, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
