Census figure
editthe cited StatsCan page is only for the RD electoral area, which includes more than just Porcher; a citation is needed for the island's specific data.Skookum1 (talk) 15:18, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Oona River
editI'm presuming that "Scandinavian" is a generalization for "Norwegian", and if so Category:Norwegian Canadian settlements (or whatever it is) should be added. Danes were also present in the fishing industry, but the North Coast from what I know was mostly a Norwegian area. "Oona" may not be a native name as first meets the eye; it's a fairly common Norwegian adn Icelandic woman's name, under various spellings and variants) (e.g. in Icelandic Unn, the genetive form of which is I think Unna, and I know I've seen "Oona" and "Una" in Norwegian, though the former is somewhat anglicized, though that's not uncommon in Norway either, where you often see John as well as Jon).Skookum1 (talk) 15:18, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
