What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Split

No consensus to split the article. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 14:37, 12 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

I don't see why this is one article not two. The HBLR station is named for the ferry terminal but it not directly adjacent, and has a (rather wide) major roadway (Port Imperial Boulevard) and multiple buildings between them. One can't even see the ferry terminal from the HBLR station anymore. They're really separate facilities. I think the articles should be split.

(At the very least, I don't see any evidence that this title is actually the COMMONNAME. The HBLR station is named just "Port Imperial", while the actual ferry terminal is called "Port Imperial / Weehawken" by NY Waterway. The article title is made up and inappropriate.) oknazevad (talk) 00:17, 25 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

The article title does not refer to the HBLR station or the ferry terminal in particular. It defines the term as the transit hub that consists of all the different transportation facilities in the location. I don't have particular feelings about the article title, but if needed, that can simply be changed/moved. Splitting, however, seems unjustified at this point. The article best colletively describes the facilities at the transit hub, which would repetitive/redundant if split. A change with redirect could be Port Imperial (Weehawken); Port Imperial – Weehawken; or Port Imperial, Weehawken (?).Djflem (talk) 21:01, 25 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
