Future of this article

I propose that this article is split into four articles (one for each legal system and one for the UK as a whole) entitled: Police powers in England and Wales, Police powers in Scotland and Police powers in Northern Ireland. These three would have to refer to the territorial police forces of their legal system. The fourth article would be Police powers in the United Kingdom, which would point to the three sub-articles and cover the powers of the special police forces. ninety:one 23:37, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Merge

There was an old tag to merge this into Stop and search. I think the pages should be merged, but the other way around. This is the better article, and has a better, more specific title. Fences and windows (talk) 22:53, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
