Prem Bhatia (Delhi cricketer) → Prem Bhatia (cricketer) – Only person on Wikipedia with this name, after Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Prem Bhatia (Gujarat cricketer) was closed as redirect. As such, disambiguation is not required. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:16, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose "Prem Bhatia was" test. indicates es:Prem Narain Bhatia. Not a stub who played 55 first-class matches for Delhi between 1958 and 1969 In ictu oculi (talk) 15:54, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- That person doesn't have an article on en.wiki. We don't need to disambiguate to someone who doesn't have an article. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:58, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- Well, I knew someone was going to say that, they always do. He has an article now Prem Bhatia (journalist). The real world exists. Books exist. The Prem Bhatia Award is mentioned in a dozen journalist articles. By all means cut Delhi out of the dab and move to Prem Bhatia (cricketer)... In ictu oculi (talk) 16:15, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- Fine to move to Prem Bhatia (cricketer), as he's the only cricketer with an article. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:28, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- Note: I have updated the original nom so that it's to move to Prem Bhatia (cricketer), as they're not the only person of the name now (some others been created/found). Joseph2302 (talk) 18:03, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- Support Only one cricketer now, so need for the extra disambiguation. Don't think there's a primary topic here so Prem Bhatia should remain a disambiguation page. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 19:24, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- Support per current nom. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:16, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:54, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose because the other still exists as a redirect (and, you know, as an actual possible search term); therefore the move would not be helpful to readers nor conform with the usual article title policies about precision. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 23:27, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
- That doesn't make any sense. There's only one cricketer here called Prem Bhatia. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:18, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- Agree with Necrothesp, at the AfD it was shown (albeit with a paywalled source) that the two cricketers are the same person. And if we move this page, all we'd need to do is also retarget the redirect Prem Bhatia (Gujarat cricketer). Also, as he played for 2 teams, the current disambiguation is improper anyway. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:27, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- Where two usually reliable sources are inconsistent we should probably exercise some editorial judgement and assume that this cricketer is likely more notable for his activities in Delhi than for one game for Gujarat. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 04:13, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- There's only one cricketer though, the extra disambiguation isn't needed. Prem Bhatia (Gujarat cricketer) and Prem Bhatia (Delhi cricketer) can both redirect to the new title. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 19:39, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
