maybe someone should translate the article from malayalam wikipedia.

Prof. Sreedhara Menon

edit

Prof. Menon's text book states that the struggle was a valid freedom struggle. Apart from what is reported in the Rediff (which may not be the epitome of unbiased reporting for it is hardly an agency like the Indian Express or the Hindu, is it?), do we have any evidence whatsoever that Prof. Sreedhara Menon reversed his earlier statement? Do we have any other evidence or revised version of his book on Kerala History? Therefore I am changing the details in accordance to the official book written by Prof. Menon and have also left the reference to the rediff pate. Please feel free to correct me with peer reviewed work of qualified historians — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.29.58.99 (talk) 22:57, 12 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

QUOTE: The Punnapra-Vayalar uprising (October, 1946) was a communist uprising in the Princely State of Travancore, British India END OF QUOTE

Travancore was not a princely state inside British-India. It was an independent kingdom in alliance with British-India. It was outside the borders of British-India.
