Name
editTheoretically, it should be Julianeshaab (which is what the Edinburgh Encyclopedia gives), but the original edit here is Julianehaab and other maps show Julianshaab. I assume the last is off, but isn't the second wrong too? or do we have a source for it outside Wikipedia? — LlywelynII 03:59, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, this Danish source pretty clearly gives Julianehaab, so we'll go back to that. — LlywelynII 02:36, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
Location
editThis map and this one show "Julianshaab" and "Kakortok" as separate settlements, with Qaqortoq located upfjord from Julianeshaab. Were they not originally the same settlement? Was one relocated to the other? Which and when? — LlywelynII 15:43, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Quacker duck
editI went to the ogg file in this article about how to say this name. It sounds like "quacker duck". Georgia guy (talk) 00:32, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
