Stooges?
editWhat is "stooges" supposed to mean in this context. Is that a joke? The link doesn't help. Staecker (talk) 13:12, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- Stooge, a shill, a confederate who acts as if s/he is one of the spectators. Here it is used to describe background spectators or extras in the film.--Jockzain (talk) 15:20, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- Why not call them "extras"? This meaning of the word stooge isn't explained in the wikilink, and it certainly doesn't appear in the reference. Extras would be the most common term, right? Staecker (talk) 21:28, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Actually I saw the word "Stooges" in the article used as reference, that's why I used it. But you are right the meaning of it is not really clear so I am changing the word to "extra".--Jockzain (talk) 23:53, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Henry Cadogan
editI don't think the Henry Cadogan depicted in the film has anything to do with this Henry Cadogan. Not a single detail of the latter's life corresponds to the film's character. Historical Henry Cadogan wasn't a diplomat, he was a military, then a politician, he was serving as a member of Parliament in London when his scenes in the film take place (1892), and he was married, had 6 children. I would remove the link and that comparison between actor and historical person, since it's not him that Franco is portraying. Kumagoro-42 01:14, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
I have to agree as well, that the link to the Henry Cadogan is the wrong Henry Cadogan. The person James Franco portrays may well be a cousin to the viscount. "Henry Cadogan was the eldest son of the Honorable Frederick Cadogan and the grandson of the third Earl Cadogan, but he had not inherited any family fortune." Cadogan
editThe foto shown of H. Cadogan shows a different person by the same name, see Wikipedia article. And he is not mentioned in the article on G. Bell, so I assume he is more of a combination of different men she actually knew. 2001:A61:2AE8:2301:DD29:8B20:CFF1:9095 (talk) 15:58, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
