Misleading headnote

Caption with wrong naming

It was wrong to write “for my mind” but please read the information text in the file V-1 1944 - Typical Ski Site.jpg which indicates clearly Maisoncelle and compare the two V-1 sites in Google Earth or Google Maps. The Maison-Ponthieu site is far from looking similar to the sketch but the Maisoncelle site does. @Chriusha: I spent some time reworking the article and finding/linking/correcting references. I also confirmed the link with Maisoncelle based on the information you provided. @Afernand74: Thanks a lot for clarifying a lot of inconsistencies in this article! Unfortunately I don’t know another primary source than the air views in géoportail from 1947 showing that both sites at Maison-Ponthieu have a clearly different appearance than the Maisoncelle site. Direct Links to the cited air views: Maison-Ponthieu village (no approved number) and Maison-Ponthieu (FSt 656, Bois de Roche). Both selections from 1947 allowing a clear identification of the sites. Hoping it helps.

Concerning secondary sources: After the battle issue 6 from 1974 is not without doubt. The cited «six sites» on page 3 ask also for correction. Original text «[…] stating that some sort of new constructions were being carried out in six places: Bonnetot le Faubourg, Auffray, Totes, Ribeaucourt, Maison Ponthieu and Bois Carre.». Bonnetot le Faubourg (site 695) IS Tôtes, there is not another site nearby. Auffray → at or close to Auffay itself no sites, it is just in context with Hollard’s story. Next site to Auffay is Château de Bosmelet (site 690). Maison-Ponthieu → approved. Ribeaucourt was a just started simplified and not detected site (144, Ersatzstellung)! Bois Carré → approved.

Maison-Ponthieu ←→ Maisoncelle

By this edit an IP reverted my correction of the wrong naming of the Maisoncelle sketch. I have not the intention to correct a second time or starting an edit war. May somebody else do so. → There is still a remark in the article that verification about Maisoncelle as the shown site in the sketch has failed. Maybe this comparison makes the situation clear enough for en:WP! The delivery storage (A) may be seen here. Both V-1 sites at Maison Ponthieu have a completely different appearance, which may be verified by any person knowing the locations of those sites.
Zaloga as source is sometimes doubtable – own experience! And for me also citation 3 is doubtable as in After the battle number 6 (ISSN 0306-154X) on page 6 is only a remark about the site at Maison Ponthieu, but in no context with the here discussed drawing! After the battle number 6 only mentions Maison Ponthieu and Croisette as being discovered by Hollard. There is no discussion of the drawing of Maisoncelle. I consequently removed the ref in the article. --Afernand74 (talk) 11:20, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

Paragraph about Agir members

Also information about Hollard's caption is wrong. Hollard has been captured together with Henri Dujarier, Joseph Legendre and Jules Mailly. But Madeleine Boulanger, Lucien François and Robert Rubenach escaped the caption as they arrived some minutes late to the rendez-vous. → “Michel Hollard - Le Français qui a sauvé Londres”, pages 180, 181. After Hollard's caption Agir was led by Joseph Legendre and Joseph Brocard alias “Bart”. Robert Rubenach has never been captured. Joseph Legendre and Henri Dujarier have been released after caption 5 February 1944. All facts according to the cited references!
