I don't think you did the right thing by removing it now. Please wait until resolution of the discussion. How are people able to participate in the deletion discussion if we don't have any pointers to it? Also, @Dharmadhyaksha:, you should have put a pointer to the discussion here, not in the DYK. RLV Technology Demonstration programme vs RLV Technology Demonstrator.

This article seems to be mixing up things also there is false information presenting a scaled suborbital test article as TSTO which it is not. Lot of wp:CRYSTALBALL gazing as well using speculative timelines as projected deadlines. Same could be said about cost reduction claims. The configuration of TSTO itself is very much in early stages and there are multiple ideas being considered.

ISRO has used the term RLV-TD interchangeably for the winged body as well the project itself.. As I see it this wiki article needs to focus on vehicle used for this mission and leave the rest to RLV_Technology_Demonstration_Programme. In Annual Report 2014-15 RLV-TD(demonstrator) is also described as TDV or 'Technology Demonstrator Vehicle'. Ohsin (talk) 08:40, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Agree Speculations need to be identified as such and not as projections. The expected "achievements" should be moved to the Programme article and presented as goals. The Programme article as currently written seems to suffer from similar fuzzy focus; it is summarized "as a first step towards realising a [reusable TSTO]." RLV-TD precursor to AVATAR

Although the concepts and testing seem to be done by different Indian departments (http://dos.gov.in/sites/default/files/USQ251.pdf) there is no doubt now the RLV-TD is the precursor/technology prototype for Avatar (spacecraft):

Nope AVATAR as was previously cited was only a study done by DRDO it might be their dream program but point is there are no official docs, budgets details on it from their side to suggest that. As far as ISRO is concerned it has nothing to do with it. ISRO's winged two stage to orbit concept is NOT AVATAR the citations are result of old wiki article that these publications based their 'research' on, it is a simple case of Citogenisis. ISRO's winged TSTO concept is a roadmap goal and RLV-TD series is experimental/tech dev platform that might lead to it eventually. The media frenzy was result back in mid 2000s was due to three different programs having initiated at almost same time DRDO study(they have their own air breathing tech demonstrator project 'HSTDV' as well), ISRO's RLV-TD and ATV (Air breathing technology demonstrator) with winged TSTO being a future roadmap goal.
