@Walk Like an Egyptian: Thanks for uploading an image to Commons of Christine Blasey Ford. Might you be able to upload an image of Rachel Mitchell as well? ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:56, 27 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

This confirmation process is historic. All who contributed should be included. Her contribution was important. Her conclusions were illuminating, to say the least.

Criticism of her memo to the committee

edit

An editor had posted material on the criticism of Mitchell's memo to the committee. This was removed by another editor as poorly crafted. I added back a sentence on the criticism as an important aspect of the event.Bjhillis (talk) 20:03, 7 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Department of Justice Findings of Unethical Practices

edit

Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell was referenced in the Department of Justice's 2024 report regarding the Phoenix Police Department's civil rights violations, together with improper charging and other ethical violations by the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. The Department of Justice discussed how police and prosecutors came to invent a gang and falsely charge protesters as members. A breakout section titled ‘The Genesis of the Gang Charges,” covers MCAO’s role in the scandal and how a prosecutor lost her law license. County Attorney Rachel Mitchell called the section about her office a “lie” at a press conference hosted by police union leaders. However, Mitchell said several things about the DOJ’s report that were misleading and not true.
