editShould we move this to Rachel Nicolazzo?-- Filip nohe 11:45, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Nope; see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (common names). - Hephaestos|§ 11:52, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Desr Fred-I don't agree with you about your comments. Can we discuss through email? Thanks Rachel Z Sickoflies22 (talk) 04:01, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- No. I prefer to conduct discussions related to articles on the talk page. I'm not on the VRT, so any credentialing or other issues that VRT would need to handle should be done in an email to VRT. —C.Fred (talk) 04:45, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
Rachel Nicolazzo is not common knowledge nor my stage name. That is a personal name Why is my name an issue? Sickoflies22 (talk) 04:05, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
Date of birth
editHer date of birth is now cited per ENotes.com. Her school timeline is still a little vague, but the birth date is sourced. —C.Fred (talk) 18:53, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
It's also cited per the Rochester Jazz Festival bio on her. Does anybody other than User:Sickoflies22 object to the inclusion of the birthdate, given that it's corroborated by two sources? —C.Fred (talk) 03:46, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Her Date of Birth is on her Facebook Site. She confirmed it to me personally. Regards Miri —Preceding unsigned comment added by MiRiGermany (talk • contribs) 09:36, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
Sick of lies is Rachel Z and I do object. Due to sexism in the business I consider it an affront Sickoflies22 (talk) 04:04, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- The date of birth is not currently in the article. I'm not convinced that the article suffers from its absence, though: it is a BLP issue, so unless it's widely reported, no reason not to err on the side of caution and omit it. —C.Fred (talk) 04:44, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
The enotes.com birthday is wrong C. fred has Rachel's Birth certificate which I submitted several years ago. Can we remove birthday from enotes due to sexism in the musicbusiness. Sickoflies22 (talk) 08:13, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Sickoflies22: Wikipedia has no control over what enotes.com publishes. Any concern with accuracy of their information needs to be addressed with their editors.
- If I ever received a copy of the subject's birth certificate, I long since deleted it. I am not part of the Volunteer Response Team. If they had handled the matter, a VRT member would have noted it here with a ticket number. Only VRT members have access to the details of their logs. —C.Fred (talk) 19:47, 31 January 2016 (UTC)

Attacking instead of helping
editDear Thaddeus-
I AM Rachel z and I edit the page because historically there are no female writers to represent, sustain, and accurately write about my accomplishments. I do not color the fact…but I’d love your help in fixing what by your judgement feels incorrect.
Omar Hakim is most certainly a legendary jazz, rock ,funk , drummer. He was inducted into the Zildjian Hall of Fame in 2023 as well as received many awards for over 50 years.
jazz- Weather Report, Wayne Shorter, Hank Jones rock- Dire Straights, Foo Fighters, David Bowie,Sting electronic- Daft Punk funk- Chic
I’d love to know how you would like me to submit page changes. as you seem more interested in causing problems than helping my page be what your vision is for it- which seems to be to oppress women’s voices and reduce our accomplishments. Rachel Z Hakim (talk) 23:25, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
- The explanation for how to submit changes was put on your talk page a few hours ago:
* propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- I hope that helps. -- Pemilligan (talk) 23:33, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much- I missed this Rachel Z Hakim (talk) 23:48, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
