Kidney Beans from USA
editNeither the origin of Kidney Beans nor that it was brought to Indian country by the Spanish and Portuguese is under doubt. There is no point in deleting that fact. Though it is not relevant, as for the question if it is indeed popular in Central America and South USA, please refer this article Red beans and rice rams81 (talk) 15:55, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Origin of the Term RajMa Raj Ma is derived from Raj ( Kings) , Maash/Maah( A local legume indegenous to india Vigna Mungo or Urad Dal) RajMaash->RajMaah->RajMa Since the Kidney Bean is Phasoleus Vulgaris variant native to Mesoamerica, the appellation above was introduced to derive a local term for the introduced bean in NorthWest India. It could have been introduced via trade routes from either the ottoman empire( A secondary c enter of introduced Mesoamerican crops) or from Trading posts in Gujarat and Sindh or less likely via the Asiatic Trans Himalayan lowland route via Macau. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:6C58:4380:2988:1DFF:7784:EA00:73C4 (talk) 10:06, 17 March 2019 (UTC)

Spam links and blogs
editI don't know how common it is on this article, but it seems like a lot of unreliable sources have been added over time, including blogs (that seem to not be written by experts) and spam links (some intentional and some possibly not, that now just redirect to spam websites). I just thought I'd point it out so others can keep an eye on it. I'll delete the ones I see for now. - Whisperjanes (talk) 00:28, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
- It seems others have been pretty good over time of keeping them out of the article, so I only had to take out one, but it's still good to keep an eye out. - Whisperjanes (talk) 00:40, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
