McKim Marriott

Professor McKim Marriott, the American anthropologist, whose work in the 1950s on the cultural origins of the Raksha Bandhan and Rakhee/Saluno/Rakri traditions in rural North India is much cited in this article, passed away early last month at the age of 100.
