- ... that Raorchestes chalazodes (pictured) lay their eggs inside bamboo, and are the only species in their genus to exhibit parental care? Source: https://journals.ku.edu/reptilesandamphibians/article/view/14405

- Approve hook and image Article was 5x expanded on November 10th from ~1400 characters to ~7800 characters, meeting length requirements. The article reads neutrally and properly has in-line citations (could use some wiki-linking though) and there's no copyvio issues found from the detector. The hook is short enough, interesting, and is cited inline (at two spots for separate parts of the hook). The QPQ is unneeded as the nominator is new and the image is open copyright and looks good at a small size. Everything seems good to go! SilverserenC 23:56, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Qazwsx1515 and Silver seren: I can't find anywhere in the cited source that talks about laying eggs on bamboo. -- RoySmith (talk) 19:47, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
- Ah, RoySmith, that's because the hook is combining information from two separate sources and Qazwsx1515 forgot to put the other one, I believe. Here's the other source with that info. SilverserenC 23:09, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

- The last sentence of the paragraph under the parental care section needs a citation, along with the second paragraph in that section. SL93 (talk) 02:49, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
- SL93, I checked the source used in the first paragraph and it covers all of that info. Not sure why it wasn't used by Qazwsx1515 for the end of the first paragraph and the second paragraph. But I've extended it to cover those sections now. SilverserenC 19:54, 24 November 2022 (UTC)

Peer review
editI implemented significant changes and corrections to the grammar and sentence structure throughout this article. Especially in the parental care section, I reordered the entire section so that the section on egg guarding flowed more coherently. Under the habitat and distribution section, I attempted to improve the sentence "this bamboo forms a shrubby habitat that often forms impenetrable clumps next to stream banks". Due to the use of the word "impenetrable", I assumed that the this kind of habitat offers some kind of protection, but I recommend this part to be further explained. What I changed: I rephrased many sentences to make them more succinct and easier to read. Holotype is a jargon that I believe most people don’t know what it is, so I added a hyperlink to it. I added a few sentences to the leading section. The development was listed as a subheading under parental care, but it is not really about parental care, so I changed it to a separate section. What I rephrased: The overall body coloration of Raorchestes chalazodes is green with a purplish white ventral region and black-blue spots on the groin region. Some distinguishing characteristics of the species is a rounded snout, a lingual papilla on the tongue, and well-developed supernumerary tubercles. By the way, the eyes of this frog is so cute!Yunfeng Ge (talk) 02:20, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
- What I changed: the updated Wikipedia page was very strong, but I noticed Olachandra travorica was not italicized although it was a scientific name. The discussion on holotype confused me originally and it was unclear to me whether the holotype continued to apply or if there were more individuals present today. In order to better cement the notion that the numbers are higher than 1, I researched an article and added its sampling to the conservation section. Luiscville (talk) 04:52, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
