Wisden apparently mentions that Patel "chased Lamba all the way to the boundary", and Cricinfo quotes it at every opportunity. I have not seen it mentioned in sources closer to home (but I haven't checked too many either). Though logic is not given much importance in Wikipedia, it seems unusual that a batsman protected by a bat, pad and helmet could be chased away by a bowler who is armed with only a wicket. Patel's official defence that he "only hit Lamba's bat three times" would have been blown away had he chased him "all the way to the boundary". I would wait for a better (contemporary and preferably Indian) source before adding anything along the lines suggested by Wisden/CI Tintin (talk) 05:53, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
