Book vs. Film

edit

Reading this article, it describes (exclusively) the Rick Deckard of "Blade Runner", and not the Rick Deckard of "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?". It uses (exclusively) the terminology of the Ridley Scotts film, and not the terminology of Philip K. Dicks novel. Might it be possible to expand this article to describe both seperatly? I may do this myself when I can find the time........ Patch86 23:37, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I tried to put some of the source material in it, leaving the film items to the "adaptation" section since this is about the character created by Dick.AbramTerger (talk) 00:22, 12 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
I removed the section on human or replicant since this is in another article and this article has a see also with it.AbramTerger (talk) 00:51, 12 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

The need to redirect it to...

edit

I think a exclusive article to Rick Deckard is not needed and that it must be redirected to the already-existing list of characters in the Blade Runner movie. A single movie character, despite its subjective importance, have no notability to achieve its own personal article. --Officer Boscorelli (talk) 16:15, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I strongly disagree. First, since this article discusses both the character in the book and the character in the film, it cannot be redirected to the article about characters in the film. Second, I believe the character to be important enough to merit his own article. Granted, it needs improvement, but your recent additions were not helpful. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 17:20, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Notability, merge to Themes?

edit

I've started a section on analysis, but notability is still weak. See Talk:Themes_in_Blade_Runner#Merge_from_Rick_Deckard for a merge proposal. For merge, please comment there, for notability, feel free to do so here. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:54, 7 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
