intro
editAll the "STNG" & "DS9" pages need changes to the intro section. The "info box" is interfering with the character's name. --trekphiler, 16/11/05
Picard
editIn the entry, it says "Although Picard had great faith in her, her hatred for the Cardassians would later win out over her loyalty to him." Is that directly derived from dialog in the series? I would say that empathy for the displaced persons in demilitarized zone were what convinced her rather than a vendetta against cardassians. --Seg
Don't merge
editI would be for merge, but it's apparently its own article in four different Wikipedias. Besides she was one of the main cast for a season or so and was likely in a similar number of episodes as Tasha Yar.--T. Anthony 12:03, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- I was way off. Forbes was only in 9 and one of those not as Laren. Still she was in more eps than Q.--T. Anthony 15:25, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- I consider "more episodes than Q" to be a valid argument for not merging the article. You may want to repeat your view on the list's talk page. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 17:34, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- But the article needs to have enough real-world notability, which as I last looked, Q didnt even have enough, and was primarily in-universe. Merging these articles is a propsal that can ultimately save them from AFD's that they may not pass. Ejfetters 23:04, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Also she was never the Main cast member, just a recurring guest star. Unnotable real-world article better merged. Ejfetters 23:04, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- In theory I'd agree with you more than you might think. In practice the character does seem to be notable as defined by Wikipedia. She gets around 25,200 google-hits[1] and around 39 in Google News archive.[2] There is even a scholarly book that makes a few noteworthy mentions of her. Star Trek and Sacred Ground (SUNY Press). That plus her being in four other Wikipedias makes me think she's suitably noteworthy.--T. Anthony 06:35, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Personal Statues Report
editAs for Ro, Ensign Laren. Her personal file appears in TNG episode The Next Phase s05e24 (time index 10-11 minutes) Confirming DOB 01-17-2340 Parents Ro Talia and Ro Gale Birth Place of Bajor Academy dates of 2358-2362 Listed as Deceased temporarily on stardate 45097.4 (14:30 hours) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.78.31.80 (talk) 00:52, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
Being that Conundrum s05e14 lists this same information at time index 17:30 with the exception that the Starfleet graduation date is different Graduation date is listed at 2364 (a six year span opposed to the 4 year span shown in next phase.) Which is the primary source? which is correct? Both have a "file id - 27642654874" one is pulled up in the bridge the other in the medical bay.
I followed the first source link for the acadamy years and it confirms the discrepency. As well as a second in the spelling of her home world.
Was Next Generation role cut short?
editI noticed in the article that Michelle Forbes turned down a Deep Space Nine role, which one would have thought was a good offer. Was she not continued in The Next Generation for a related reason? It would be interesting to explain, since her character seems to be introduced as a lead in the fifth season. Leptus Froggi (talk) 09:52, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
