Today, Robin van Persie is coming to Istanbul. And tomorrow, he will sign for Fenerbahçe. Böri (talk) 06:39, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Wait for the official announcement first. He was originally predicted to sign on Thursday, but did not sign, so it may not be true that he will sign tomorrow. --Graphium 06:45, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Is this makes the transfer offical?Rivaner (talk) 14:24, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
No, it just says he will visit and not that anything is signed. We have to wait for official confirmation from the club. Qed237 (talk) 14:29, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
The club today has anounced today that he is expected to be arriving to Istanbul at 19:30 today? I am not trying to be annoying or anything I just want to learn the rule about this transfers, please don't get me wrong. Samuel Eto's page was updated as he arrived to Antalya, that's why I am not sure about this. Plus, Van Persie is wearing a Fenerbahce scarf in the picture, which, I think, makes it more "offical". Thanks for your time.Rivaner (talk) 14:34, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Oh, OK. I got it now. The page will be updated during or after the signing ceremony, Thanks.Rivaner (talk) 14:46, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
No problem, it is good that you ask questions. We usually dont change club for the players if the transfer is not totally completed, this including clubs agreement, personal contract and medical investigation. It looks like the club says they discuss with manchester and that he will travel to turkey, but it does not say he has agreed to a personal contract and passed medical examination yet. He is there to sign the contract and probably have his medical examination tomorrow and after that deal is completed. Not sure how it was for Etoo, but this is how it is usually done. Qed237 (talk) 14:49, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Yes, after signing he is a Fehnerbahce player. Qed237 (talk) 14:51, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Yes, that Etoo edit was confusing. By the way, he already passed his medical with Fenerbahçe. Anyway, I know how the transfer edits are made now, so I am sure somebody will update the page during the signing ceremony :). Thanks a lot Qed237.Rivaner (talk) 14:54, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

If a criminal charge is dismissed, it usually would not be mentioned in an article. There are many sites on the Internet where unfounded allegations live on, but Wikipedia tries not to be one of them. (See the relevant policy and please note that it also applies to talk pages.) Change Club career Feyenoord: Robin didn't join Feyenoord at age 16 but at age 12-13 (Summer of 1996). And he didn't left Excelsior because of petulant attitude but just because he made a step forward from a small Rotterdam based club to the biggest, Feyenoord. Use the Dutch wikipedia page for the right version of the story. Tip: Better not quote the book of Andy Lloyd Williams. It's not an official book and Robin doesn't want to be related to it. He even refuses to sign it when someone asks it (https://www.ad.nl/nederlands-voetbal/van-persie-weigert-handtekening-op-boek-niet-mijn-bio~a8a48c3b/) RVP Team (talk) 13:07, 10 September 2018 (UTC)

Change: "After five years with Feyenoord, he fell out with manager Bert van Marwijk etc." Must be after eight years with Feyenoord. Joined Feyenoord in the Summer of 1996. See Dutch wikipedia for the right information. RVP Team (talk) 13:15, 10 September 2018 (UTC)

Youth Career must be 1988-1996 Excelsior, 1996-2002 Feyenoord. See Dutch wikipedia for the correct information. RVP Team (talk) 13:20, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
