"Standard"?
editIsn't Male Latin still the most common non-academic romanization scheme? Virtually all tourist literature, place names etc use it. Jpatokal (talk) 10:13, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
ISO 15919
editI suggest mentioning ISO 15919 as a possible romanization method that can be used. IAST cannot be used to romanize Dhivehi: 1- It lacks letters for short vowels /e/ and /o/ which are in Maldivian. In IAST "e" is used for /eː/ and "o" for /oː/. 2- It doesn't have letters for prenasalization. Xavier Romero-Frias uses ISO 15919 to Romania's Dhivehi in his book The Maldive Islanders: see the end of the book's introduction. Ismehela (talk) 17:35, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
