Birth year
editThere's been some contention over Mara's age. The New York Post writes that she is "two years younger" than her sister.[1] Kate Mara was born in 1983, so I have added 1985? as Rooney Mara's birth year until a better reliable source shows up. Also, based on the cited sources Rooney Mara graduated from NYU and then moved to Los Angeles in 2007, which precludes a birthdate of 1989: she would have to have started college at age 14 and graduated from college at age 18. dissolvetalk 20:35, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, just for the record: When Reed Tucker published that, it was true (25 and 23), but it was false for about 7 weeks between when he said it and you cited it. And a question mark should never accompany a date except when at least a century of scholarship has produced a consensus that we'll never be sure unless some unknown document eventually turns up.
Lines of reasoning like your year-of-degree one are even flakier: some kids get bucked a year forward toward their HS diploma for looking bored; some diligent students can do a bachelor's degree in 3 years at a high-grade institution (or 2.5 years at a nationally known preacher/activist mill); motivated and smart heirs to sport-franchise fortunes can afford and assimilate full-time tutoring to radically shorten the years before they can enter college, perhaps by exam and without a diploma.
All that aside, thanks for your vigorous efforts to build up the article.

editWhy does it say she is married to Cate Blanchett in her Infobox but no mention in the body of the entry? Joke edit? Avram42 (talk) 13:21, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

philanthropist?
edit"Philanthropist" ... when did a tax break or PR stunt become an occupation?
Fan cruft or PR spin?
I suspect this is a Wikipedia wide problem if someone wants to look into it? May be it should just be "actress". --85.255.234.96 (talk) 09:53, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

Brideshead
editRecently announced that she is to play Julia Flyte in a new TV version of Brideshead Revisited (with Ralph Fiennes as Lord Marchmain and Andrew Garfield as Charles Ryder). Not sure what the rules are about posting forthcoming stuff so I'll leave it to somebody else.Paulturtle (talk) 08:51, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
