The pack i'm eating now is 52.5g, is this a larger standard?
Packs with only black and red pastilles
editHas anyone noticed these? Great idea, they're my favourite flavours. I've added a sentence about these to the article. LDHan 17:56, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Were they really served at the last supper? Good old Jesus. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.33.50.146 (talk) 21:00, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
I heard on Stephen Fry's QI that fruit pastilles USED TO contain heroin!? Can anyone confirm this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.211.67.131 (talk) 12:27, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- Most of the drugs you know where widely used at one point. Coca-Cola famously contained Cocaine, Hitler did Crystal Meth, and most likely, sweets would have contained drugs too, to increase enjoyment. ☯Ferdia O'Brien (T)/(C) 14:35, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Wine Pastiles
editThere is no mention on Wikipedia of the Wine Pastile variant. They seem to be a cross between fruit pastiles and wine gums, and they taste a lot better than both. They are produced and packaged in a similar package to maynards winegums and made by maynards.
Is it worth mentioning Maynards version of this or...?
Ingredients and flavors are wrong?
editI bought a 600g box of these from a local British food importer and they contain no artificial flavors or colors, and they contain the additional flavors of grape and apple - or to be more precise, they contain those fruit juices in addition to juices for the fruits listed in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CGameProgrammer (talk • contribs) 21:48, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
Factual Error
editFruit Pastilles were first made in Fawdon, Tyneside, England in 1881.
Perhaps someone would care to fix the above - the Fawdon factory dates from 1958. Further, the district known as Fawdon is a surburb of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne.87.192.210.37 (talk) 17:50, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
Citation Needed
editThere are way too many Citation Needed labels in this. For example, anyone in the UK or Ireland can just buy a pack of them to verify they are still packaged in foil-backed paper, with paper outside that. zoney ♣ talk 23:14, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
