- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. – Jonesey95 (talk) 11:47, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

John Cena is no longer in the RR match itself having been "injured" by Drew McIntyre on Monday Night Raw (01/21/2019). This is most likely to cover him starting to film his latest movie which also starts on Sunday the 27th. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2817012-wwe-rumors-john-cenas-injury-a-work-likely-to-be-written-out-of-royal-rumble — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bjciii (talk • contribs) 20:05, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

Matches
editAn unknown IP has edited the matches making it seem like the event already happened with Rollins and Lynch winning the Rumbles. I tried to revert back to a previous version but don't know how Elspooky (talk) 11:31, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
Can someone fix this page? I'm trying to finish it, but don't know where it's at? --Stephen"Zap" (talk) 04:36, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
Storyline
editHello folks. I never write in articles, also my english its not that good so I apologise. Im not trying to criticize the article because I do like it but in my opinion there is no need to mention so many times that is a scripted event. Everybody know that and that can be found on a main article of WWE. Here we should have what is happening on the Royal Rumble, not particulary telling over and over that is a scripted storyline with scripted characters and scripters matches, etc...just my opinion I hope the creator of the article dont get offended by this suggestion. Good job everyone involved in the creation of this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.73.72.100 (talk) 18:45, 19 January 2019 (UTC)
- @186.73.72.100: Thanks. We include this disclaimer on every page, it is part of our style guide which can be found at WP:PW/SG. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 17:50, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Galatz: True, we put that disclaimer everywhere. But to mention it three times is overkill:
- "The card will include matches that result from SCRIPTED storylines, where wrestlers portray heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in SCRIPTED events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. Results are PREDETERMINED by WWE's writers on the Raw, SmackDown, and 205 Live brands,[4][5] with storylines produced on WWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live,[6] and the cruiserweight-exclusive 205 Live.[7]"
- Once is enough! Str1977 (talk) 12:13, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
Shane McMahon
editThe following should apply IF Shane McMahon is a surprise entry in the Royal Rumble:
- If he's an SD Tag Team Champion if/when he enters, then list him as an SD wrestler (same criteria that's been used forever on the List of WWE personnel article)
- If he isn't, then list him as a free agent
Obviously all of this is a moot point if he's not in.
Thank you.
Remove Cena?
editShould we remove Cena from the list of participants? There was talk that he is storyline injured so he was removed from the Rumble. Jedi Striker (talk) 03:02, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

Correction on the first Royal Rumble not to feature the WrestleMania sign since the 2000 edition of Royal Rumble.
editThe 2003 edition of the Royal Rumble was the last rumble event to not feature a WrestleMania sign. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DoubleCee88 (talk • contribs) 00:48, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

Royal Rumble 2004 was the first to show the WrestleMania sign in the arena, leading up to WrestleMania 20. No other Rumble event had ever done it before then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.232.149.143 (talk) 00:59, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Nia Jax / R-Truth
editWill Nia Jax be listed as the #30 entrant as was Sami Zayn last year? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FEA8:2D1F:F645:F003:B9E:F25A:B9E5 (talk) 04:59, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
She officially is. Regarding her elimination there was a wrong point she was eliminated by both Orton and Mysterio. They fought together, but Nia was eliminated after Mysterio's baseball slide alone. Two eliminates together only if they both are involved in the final moment of throwing over the rope. But in this case Mysterio's slide alone did it. In case that counts as WP:OR, I give the source too, final elimination by Mysterio's kick alone.[1] Respected Person (talk) 06:01, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Charlotte Should 5 eliminations
editFor Bayley's elimination Charlotte hit a big boot on her whilst she was on Nia's shoulders sending Jax towards the ropes which sent Baylry over meaning it should count. Especially as a different Wikipedia page lists Charlotte as having 5 eliminations.(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Rumble) EwanMacdonald7 (talk) 15:49, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
