editThe first footnote states that Sato is Japanese for sugar. While the Japanese word for sugar is pronounced as sato, that is not relevant here. Ruth Sato's last name does not translate as sugar. It's most likely just like: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sat%C5%8D
I don't believe it would be relevant to keep this footnote.
