Street Names

I've spotted a number of incorrect street names in this article, which should be fixed. For instance, the article mentions "South 500 East," "South State Street," and, most confusingly, "South West Temple"—where the correct names are just "500 East," "State Street," and "West Temple," respectively. The extra first directional is only for identifying specific addresses along the street, and (despite what one might infer from reading Google Maps) is not part of the street name. See the Salt Lake City Plats for verification. I would fix these myself, but I want to put this note up first, to make my motivation known, and to invite counterarguments. You're not the only one to notice this. By appearances, what happened is somebody just cloned the street names from Google Maps (as that is how they are labeled there), but the directional modifiers are not part of the street name. Dave (talk) 18:17, 17 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
