editI tagged for 'confusing', as I am not an expert in the subject matter (like most of the readers will be), and after reading the article, three times, I'm still confused as to the subject matter. Maybe it is the inconsistent use of capitalization, or the fact that it isn't wikified so it isn't easy to look up a few terms, but some clarity would be useful, and I certainly can't do it myself or I would. Thanks for you suggestion Dennis, I'll certainly make things clear.St albany (talk) 05:38, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Arran included Yerevan/Erivan/Iravan?
editCan better sources be provided for this? Preferably with a verifiable and translated quote? Kentronhayastan (talk) 13:32, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Its bogus from a non-RS source. I removed it. - LouisAragon (talk) 11:44, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
- PS: The utter vast majority of the reliable sources that deal with the Safavid era (or even Afsharid/Zand/Qajar eras) spell it as "Qarabagh", not "Karabakh". I.e.:

- Just to name "a few". - LouisAragon (talk) 11:44, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
I've made a new section to discuss the title. Also, I have no idea why I removed the Persian transliteration. I was probably going to do something with it but ended up forgetting. Kentronhayastan (talk)
Name of the Article Qarabagh -> Karabakh
editI understand that the native name used for it is Qarabagh, but this is also the case for every single other article with the name "Karabakh" in it. I think we should be consistent. The de facto English name for the region is "Karabakh," so I don't mind keeping the article named "Safavid Karabakh," but I disagree with keeping it "Qarabagh." Kentronhayastan (talk)
- Usually, I would not support a move that would be against what the reliable sources state. However, in this particular case, I do think consistency is more important and ultimately more convenient. Sure, lets do it. - LouisAragon (talk) 21:16, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
