— Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.252.218.24 (talk • contribs)

This page is under attack by some unsocial people who are trying to demean a historic community. The references provided in the current article are baseless and biased without any authority. This article needs to be improved and protected.
It should not be written like an advertising nor de-mean a community. It should be rather presented with historical facts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DeepakChaudhary511 (talk • contribs)
Word kurmi
editWord kurmi in this content is objectionable. Kurmi is a very different cast in India. And saintwar Mall is one of the kshatriya community (The warriors) in India. Remove this word or sentences in which this is used. Raunak070692 (talk) 19:21, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

I don't know anything about this topic, I just found it through Recent changes
Sources help people know or check information is correct. Here's an example I found: https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_Caste_System_of_Northern_India/NenzO2grTOMC?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=Sainthwar&printsec=frontcover, although that one doesn't help much right now.
I was going to say (hmm... not much sources) but in between more source were added while I was typing this
As a foreigner, I don't know what (santhavara) in Sainthwar (santhavara)
means, and Google doesn't help...
Is it a translation or alternative name or something? I also don't know what the Backwards Commision is.
I've edited it to correct some stuff. I'm also part of Wikipedia:Short description. So yeah, what should I put for a short description? For now it's "community in northern India" AltoStev Talk 13:28, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Kurmi
editSainthwar were never kurmi nor they had any social tie with any of this tiller caste umbrella. Sinthwars have royal ancestors and they were king and ruling class. The references given in are all fake and the writers just copy pasted the british historian articles to get their book publish or even for their PhD thesis also, that's what happens in indian universities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2409:4081:8984:6879:1DF1:5146:B825:F97B (talk) 16:56, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi IP2409. Do you know of any reliable sources that talk about the Saintwar's royal ancestry? How do you know the currently cited sources are fake? Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 18:35, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- you wanna know about sainthwar royal ancestry? Ju check about padrauna state and madhuban state which was ruled by sainthwar and mall kings. And don't forget about Mall mahajanpad which was there since ancient India, if you don't believe then go study Indian histry. And stop spreading your political vote bank agenda here. Sainthwar-mall never accept you Kurmis as their parts. 202.43.120.75 (talk) 02:21, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

They formed a new caste called Sainthwar, which was the name of a sub-caste of the Kurmis.

Change “Under the Indian governments system of positive discrimination, the Sainthwars are classified as a "Backward" or Other backward class.[4] The Sainthwars are closely related to the Kurmis,[2] and are sometimes described as a division of the Kurmi caste” to In 1991 ,Saithwar were given seperate class under Kshatriya group. The rectification was made on the basis of prominent land owners. Manisha Sharma MS (talk) 08:00, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
