Sapth Rishis:
editSaptha Rishis are the Hierarchy working under the guidance of the Highest Creative Intelligence, God. The present batch of the Sapta Rishis: Bhrigu, Atri, Angirasa, Vasishta, Pulastya, Pulalaha and Kratu. Their work is to help every soul to go back to its Source, God. They live in the highest plane, Satya Loka. They have their representative Rishi in the Himalayas who is assisted by 1,44,000 Rishis (Light Workers) living in different parts of the earth. They monitor and guide the processes that help people to transit to the Light Age (Satya Yuga). They bring down to the earth the required Knowledge and Energies to strengthen the processes of Transition (Pralaya). They are naturally the most evolved Light Beings in the Creation and the guardians of the Divine Laws.

7 Rishis associated with the 7 stars of the Big Dipper
editIn some parts of India, people believe these are seven stars of the Big Dipper... - Benjamin Franklin 75.74.157.29 (talk) 17:26, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
Wrong calculation
editThe calculation of the Kaliyuga to last for 432.000 years is wrong! That is the nominal duration but according to Mahabharata 3.189.33 this yuga will end when Vishnus third step will end. Vishnu is the constellation Orion (compare for example Srimad Bhagavatam 5.17.1 - 6) which is moving up and down in the course of the prcession. His first step after the flood was upward and his current last step is also upward. It will be finished round about in 2500 CE and then this yuga will end.--84.191.33.55 (talk) 08:38, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
Conflicting Information
editThe list in the "Present Sapta Rishis" section and the list contained in the present Vaivasvata manvantara do not match — Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.16.243.106 (talk) 16:54, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
View On Wrong Calculation
editThere are 14 Manvantar each having 72 Chaturyurg. One Chaturyurg have four different names as Satya yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapura yuga & Kali Yuga. Each one have different duration which is Multiple of 1-4 of 4,32,000 years(like kali yuga 432000x1=432000, Dvapura 432000x2= 864000 with start from last). So Please, Research first on our own ways before arriving at any conclusion about religious matter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.56.155.107 (talk) 08:19, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Proposal to change name
editThe word is "saptarshi" (सप्तर्षि). It is a combination of "sapt" (सप्त, i.e. seven) and "rishi" (ऋषि, i.e. sages), but the rules of Sanskrit and Hindi grammar state that their combination is "sap-tar-shi" (सप्तर्षि) and not "sapt-rishi" (सप्तऋषि; the word doesn't exist). The title is a misnomer. Accordingly, I'm proposing that it be changed to "Saptarshi", with a note in the lead section, or an etymology section stating that it is the combination of the two words. Would be grateful for any thoughts, whether in support or rejection of the proposal. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 02:50, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
