Which is it, a Profit or a Loss?
editIn the box at the right, it says the Budget of the movie was $1,148,000 and the Box Office was $1,625,000 -- which, doing the math, would give us a profit of $477,000. Yet in the copy, under "Reception", it says, "According to MGM records the film earned $783,000 in the US and Canada and $842,000 elsewhere, resulting in a loss of $333,000." (And yes, $783,000 plus $842,000 equals $1,625,000.) The source for the numbers is The Eddie Mannix Ledger, Los Angeles: Margaret Herrick Library, Center for Motion Picture Study. Still, who arrived at a loss of $333,000 instead of a profit of $477,000? Which one's right? Or am I flunking math here? 71.204.84.204 (talk) 21:36, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
