sosbans??
editI have never heard of sosbans being used as a nickname for the scarlets, be it in an informal or formal/media setting. Please clarify and reference this or we should remove it 81.153.140.246 (talk) 23:12, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Well they are along with turks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.251.254.223 (talk) 13:21, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
Order of players
editI think the current squad should be in alphabetical order, with an equal amount of players on each side, instead of forwards and backs, as it looks kind of weird when one side is 30% longer. Goldman07 14:40, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Regions Map
editThe regions map is incorrect as it shows Llanelli, Cydweli, Burry Port and Llangennech in 'Ospreylia' while they are in the Scarlets' region. The boundary between these two regions is congruent with the Swanse/Carmarthenshire border, which follows the Lougher in this area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.124.16.28 (talk) 11:55, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have corrected this now. - PeeJay 15:45, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
The regions map is still wrong. It shows the Vale of Glamorgan being part of Ospreys region when it is in fact part of the Blues (always has been, even prior to the collapse of the Celtic Warriors).
Fair use rationale for Image:Scarlets badge.png
editImage:Scarlets badge.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Vandalism
editThe introduction of this page is clearly nonsensical, as well as containing statements of facts that probably aren't true and is most probably vandalism and trolling.
Examples:
- "a range of snacks such as babies, passsstttees and Tannggo"
- "They play in the Celtic League, as well as playing, but not competing, in the LV= Cup and the Heineken Cup with prid and pashun."
- "Stradey Park in Llanelli, which was beautifully carpeted"
- "They were directly responsible for the Gyppocaust"
I have removed the more obvious ones, but it's going to need someone with a better knowledge of the topic to check the rest.
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Scarlets's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Scarlets. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}

Scarlets neu Sgarlets?
editHaving visited this article in the past the Welsh name was always given as "Y Scarlets" this had recently been edited to "Y Sgarlets" a name not currently used by Welsh language broadcasters, publications or the Welsh version of the Scarlets own website.
I know that there had been some discussion of the correct Welsh spelling following the founding of the regions in 2003, indeed the name "Sgarlets" was for a time favoured by S4C, however I believe there is now a consensus that the spelling should be "Y Scarlets" and I have reverted the edit to reflect this consensus.
Happy to hear any opposing views. Cymrogogoch (talk) 20:49, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
Current league tables
editI put them on as every other URC side I checked had them. Is their a consensus of if they should/shouldn’t be on there for rugby teams in general? Scarlets are only side without. Happy to go either way but every other club has them. Same goes for English Prem clubs. RodneyParadeWanderer (talk) 19:47, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
