Overall:
Pass/Fail:

Well-written

  • Though the liner notes don't actually say a lot (as in, it states "All songs produced, recorded and mixed by Skrillex at the Honeycomb, Los Angeles, CA) it might be good to add the studio where the song was made to the infobox
  • The prose and MOS for all sections is pretty good
  •  Y Remove unneccesary tracklisting section; all information for the song is in the infobox
    • Done
  •  Y brostep is mentioned in the infobox, but doesn't have a source in the body. You could use this as a source
    • Done

Accuracy/Verifiability/Spotchecks

  • Most sources are fine
  • [4] Twitter from Skrillex; is there a better source for SMANS being the first song written fro the EP?
  •  Y Right before the drop, a vocal sample of Rachael Nedrow, also known as "speedstackinggirl", shouting "Yes, oh my gosh!", is used. You should use the Allmusic citation at the end of this, so the quoting isn't WP:OR.
    • Added
  •  Y In August 2010, when "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" was still unreleased, 12th Planet played it in one of his shows.[11] Original research; find a reliable source or remove.
    • Removed
  •  Y In 2019, a study published in Acta Tropica suggested that playing "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" could make Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, which transmit the dengue fever, attack hosts later and less often as well as mate "far less often". The song was chosen because it mixes very high and very low frequencies.[39][40] Verified.
  •  Y Earwig copyvio detector: passed, highest % is 13.

Broad

  • Covers all relevant bases, honestly.
  •  Y Are there any more reviews discussing the song besides Resident Advisor? Otherwise might be better to remove it just to focus on its legacy.
    • Other reviews discussing the song are in "Composition" instead. Removed.

NPOV

  • is good; discusses impact regardless of quality due to lack of reviews of song

Stability

  •  Y Passed; hasn't been edited since August 27, it's given

Illustrations/Images

  • Song sample: uses less than 10% of original: (4:03 = 243 seconds = 24.3 max.) Fair use rationale is appropriate.
  • No other images or illustration provided.

Sorry I've been slow. Any comments? // Chchcheckit (talk) 13:35, 3 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Chchcheckit: done! Skyshiftertalk 01:05, 6 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Skyshifter We're almost done. Last suggestion would be adding citation for "dubstep", and adding comment regarding its chart performance to the lead. // Chchcheckit (talk) 14:08, 6 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also, as a random observation, 100 gecs cited the song as an inspiration here. Not that you have to include this; it's just there ig ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ // Chchcheckit (talk) 14:10, 6 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Chchcheckit: Added citation for dubstep. The lead already includes "The song charted in multiple countries", which I believe is enough. Skyshiftertalk 18:12, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
