Background Muppets

In this edit I removed the Background Muppets section. Per WP:NOTINDISCRIMINATE, we are not an indiscriminate collection of information. Nowhere else do we log background performers, as in both film and television articles, we focus on significant cast. Extras, be they human or Muppet, are not noteworthy, which is why they don't typically receive film or TV credit unless they speak. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:50, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Children's Television Workshop & Sesame Workshop

Worldcat has records for eleven editions of the movie. Records for the more recent versions are more detailed than the older ones; compare, for example, the 1986 VHS version, which doesn't list the cast, to the 2009 '25th anniversary deluxe ed'. The two oldest records include neither Children's Television Workshop (CTW) nor Sesame Workshop; the next five, CTW but not Sesame Workshop; the most recent three list both Sesame Workshop and CTW. Sesame Workshop didn't exist when the film was made; it's a new name for the old company, and while it would make sense that they would brand newer versions with that name, it is not accurate to the making of the film. The same IPs that have been trying to battle in that change have also been putting other anachronistic company names in other Sesame Street/PBS-related articles. --Nat Gertler (talk) 12:17, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
