editBad ref.
editRef #118 doesn't seem to go anywhere. I also tried googling "Wash'DC public Library, 2002" and found nothing relevant. If I'm missing something I would appreciate a little guidance. Thank you. 50.64.119.38 (talk) 08:36, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
Upriver reconnaissance of the Tennessee?
editI find this page admirably full and informative, but with one curious lapse. On the Wiki page on the Battle of Fort Henry, it says:
- Immediately after the surrender, Foote sent Lieutenant Phelps… on a mission upriver to destroy installations and supplies of military value… The raid reached as far as Muscle Shoals, just past Florence, Alabama, the river's navigable limit.
In the present article, there appears to be no mention of this important operation, which had the effect of bringing the whole of the Tennessee River under Union control. Valetude (talk) 22:38, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
