Contested deletion
editThis article should not be speedy deleted as lacking sufficient context to identify its subject, because...I'm in the middle of writing the article, just putting references in now. Deathlibrarian (talk) 03:34, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
Avoiding deletion nominations
editHello Deathlibrarian. For future reference, you can create articles as drafts (by titling the article Draft:[Article title] when you create it). Drafts are much less likely to be tagged for speedy deletion (unless they contain copyright-violating material, are attack pages or blatant hoaxes, etc.) because it is more obvious to new page patrollers that the page is actively being worked on. I typically create new articles first as drafts or in my user sandbox, and only move the page to "mainspace" once I have cited at least three sources that establish my subject's notability. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 03:55, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
