- Merge with Kuruksastra done. -- P 1 9 9 • TALK 16:19, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Festivals or individual programs held at a single university are not considered notable unless they get substantial coverage in major 3rd party independent reliable published sources, print or online (but not blogs or press releases). Independent in this sense means outside and unconnected with the university. Therefore, there is no real hope for having independent articles here on Daksh, Kuruksastra , or GLOSS. Since they are probably worth covering to a certain extent, the best place here for it would be a sentence or paragraph in the amain article on the university. That's how will deal with this in similar cases. It leaves a redirect, so people who might look directly for information on the festival will be automatically linked to the main article. If you need help doing the merge, just let me know. DGG (talk) 22:07, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
- Merge for now. As long as there's a redirect this should be fine. Since the festivals have only completed two editions there's not going to be much attention yet, I guess. Same goes for GLOSS. Maybe they should get separate articles later, once there's more coverage or information.(talk)raghuvansh(contribs) 05:33, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- Merge. Individual college festivals may fall under advertisement as far as I can see. Vatsan34 (talk) 12:37, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Merge There is not too much information to have a separate article as yet. Same can be said about SASTRA Ramanujam Prize.

The "doomed" universities issue
editI think that there is a need to add a section referring to the deemed university issue and the subsequent supreme court rulings pertaining to the same. 121.240.163.22 (talk) 06:50, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Even the SASTRA University is run by family fiefdom. It has lost the support of the Brahmin communities which it originally enjoyed subsequent to the family running the show using this "University for their business advantage.

Agreed. I've heard a lot of staff teaching there say that university is still running only because of the good name it earned when it first started. VishalR2707 (talk) 04:46, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
