Name spelling
editI suggest that this be renamed to Sharavati. Usage of the 'th' for this consonant is limited to some south Indian usage, and is confusing in all other contexts, including North Indian and non-Indian. Imc 17:09, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
I request the name of this page be changed to "Sharavati". "th" in place of "t" is used only in a few southern districts of Karnataka and Tamilnadu state.

Sharavathi → Sharavati – I request the name of this page be changed to "Sharavati". "th" in place of "t" is used only in a few southern districts of Karnataka and Tamilnadu state. Rest of the India uses the name Sharavati --Relisted. Armbrust The Homunculus 23:34, 10 February 2014 (UTC) PuttuHegde (talk) 19:51, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
- Question does the nominator have any evidence to support that assertion about usage? --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 23:58, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
