Russia's strategy about Shikotan?

While the 1956 Joint Declaration ratified by both countries says Russia give Shikotan to Japan after they sign peace treaty, it does not forbid Japan dropping claim on Shikotan and therefore not get Shikotan after they sign peace treaty. --RusPow (talk) 17:58, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
